Changwon YANG Profile Dr. Changwon Yang earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in 2024 with a dissertation on electoral violence in Mindanao, Philippines. He is currently a full-time researcher at the Institute for East Asian Studies at Sogang University, where he conducts research on local politics in the Philippines, political violence, and changes in the Philippines' foreign policy. His work particularly focuses on identifying and analyzing the social and political context of political violence in the Philippines.
