SMF(Studying&Mentoring with Friends) 프로그램” 참여자 모집

서강대학교 국제학생교육센터에서는 학업에 도움이 필요하거나 어려움을 느끼고 있는 국제학생들이 더 나은 학교생활을 영위할 수 있도록 돕기 위해, 아래와 같이 다른 학우들과 함께 학교생활을 익혀나갈 수 있는 프로그램을 준비하였습니다. 한 학기 이상 학교에 재학 중이며 학업이 어렵게 느껴지는 국제학생이라면 누구든지 이 프로그램에 신청할 수 있습니다.

◉ 프로그램 개요

- 프로그램명: 국제학생교육센터 SMF(Studying&Mentoring with Friends) 프로그램

- 프로그램 목적: 스밈퍼(SMFer: Mentor 개념)와 스밈피(SMFee: Mentee 개념)가 1:1 (혹은 1:2)로 매칭되어 학업 관련 정보 공유 및 멘토링을 실시, 원만하게 한 학기를 마무리하는 것을 목적으로 함.

- 프로그램 설명: 공부에 도움이 필요하거나 어려움을 느끼는 국제학생과 서강대학교 내 다른 학우가 한 학기 동안 함께하며 학업 관련 조언을 제공하는 멘토링 프로그램

◉ 활동기간

- 2024년 2월 1일 ~ 2024년 7월 12일, 약 5개월

  (수강신청 담아놓기 기간 이전부터 학기말 성적 마감일 이후까지)

- 스밈퍼와 스밈피가 협의하여 자유로운 일정으로 SMF 진행

◉ 스밈피(SMFee, Mentee) 지원자격

- 2024학년도 1학기 기준 2번째 학기 이상 재학중인 서강대학교 학부 국제학생 누구나

- 특히 학업에 도움이 필요하거나, 학업 조언을 해줄 멘토가 필요한 국제학생

- 스밈퍼(SMFer, Mentor) 지원자가 적을 경우 선발되지 않을 수 있습니다.

◉ 스밈피(SMFee, Mentee) 활동 인정 기준

- 스밈퍼(SMFer, Mentor)와 함께 20시간 이상 활동해야 함

- 3월 초 SMFee 대면 OT에 필수 참여해야 함(SMFee 시간표 고려하여 일정 확정)

- 매칭된 SMFer 학생과 지속적으로 연락하며 적극적으로 프로그램에 참여해야 함

- 매달 첨부파일의 보고서를 제출해야 함

- 활동이 끝나고 A4용지 1/2 분량의 소감문을 작성하여 제출해야 함

- 6월 24일 오후 3시 30분(예정) ‘참여학생 간담회’에 참여해야 함

- 7월 진행 예정인 ‘참여학생 설문’ 필수 참여

◉ 스밈피(SMFee, Mentee) 활동 혜택

- 활동기준 충족 시 학기당 10만 원의 활동비 지급

◉ 스밈퍼(SMFer, Mentor) 지원자격

- 2024학년도 1학기 기준 2번째 학기 이상 재학 중인 서강대학교 학부 학생 국적불문 누구나

- 국제학생과 적극적으로 교류하며 도움을 주고자 하는 의사가 있으며, 성실하고 책임감 있는 학생

- 휴학생 지원 불가능함. 재학중인 학생 대상으로 실시하는 활동임

- 본 프로그램은 교내 다른 활동과 함께 신청하여 동시 진행할 수 있음

- 프로그램 진행 중 타당한 사유 없이 중도 하차할 경우 추후 국제학생교육센터 주최 프로그램 참여 제한 등의 불이익이 있을 수 있으니 신중히 지원 바랍니다.

◉ 스밈퍼(SMFer, Mentor)의 역할

* 스밈퍼(SMFer)는 스밈피(SMFee)가 한 학기를 잘 마무리 할 수 있도록 ‘학업 도움’을 제공합니다.

- (중요) 교양수업 및 전공수업 관련 어려움 헤쳐나갈 가이드라인 제시하기

- 학업계획 관련: 수강신청 계획 수립 도움, 졸업요건 확인 방법 숙지 도와주기, 졸업학점 계산 방법 안내 등

- 학교 생활 관련: 출결·지각·FA 등 학사 제도 안내하기, 학교생활 관련 스마트폰 어플리케이션 안내하기, 학교생활 관련 사이트(학교 홈페이지, SAINT, 개설과목정보 페이지 등) 활용 방법 공유하기, 한국 대학생활 문화 공유하기 등

- 수업 수강 관련: 수강신청 팁 등 학교생활 노하우 안내하기, 스밈피 과제 이해 및 작성 방법 안내하기 등

- 한국어 공부 관련: 한국어 공부에 어려움을 겪고 있을 경우 관련 도움 제공

* 위 도움은 매칭된 스밈피(SMFee, Mentee)의 개인적 필요에 따라 제공합니다.

◉ 스밈퍼(SMFer) 활동 혜택

- 활동기준 충족 시 학기당 30만 원의 활동비 지급

◉ 활동 인정 기준

1) 시간 기준

- 학기당 20시간 이상 활동해야 활동 인정 가능

- 20시간 중 대면 14시간 이상이어야 활동 인정 가능

 ( * 시험기간 및 국제학생 해외체류 기간을 고려하여 최대 6시간 비대면 활동 인정)

- 3월, 4월, 5월, 6월은 매달 각 3회 이상의 활동이 필수로 요구됩니다.

2) 보고서 제출 기준

* 매달 활동을 어떻게 진행했는지 보고서를 작성하여 제출합니다. 증빙사진 첨부 필수.

- 활동 계획서 제출일: 스밈퍼(SMFer, Mentor)/스밈피(SMFee, Mentee) 매칭 후 열흘 이내

- 1차 보고서 제출일: 3월 30일 토요일

- 2차 보고서 제출일: 4월 30일 화요일

- 3차 보고서 제출일: 5월 30일 목요일

- 4차 보고서 제출일: 7월 12일 금요일

3) 기타 기준

- 2월 중 메일의 첨부파일을 통해 비대면 OT 자료 송부, 해당 내용 필히 숙지

- 3월 초 SMFer 대면 OT 필수 참여 (SMFer 시간표 고려하여 일정 확정)

- 6월 24일 오후 3시 30분(예정) ‘참여학생 간담회’에 참여해야 함

- 7월 진행 예정인 ‘참여학생 설문’ 참여 필수

2024 Spring Semester Recruitment of Participants 

for the "SMF(Studying&Mentoring with Friends)" Program

The Education Center for International Students at Sogang University has prepared a program to help international students who need assistance or face difficulties in their studies to have a better university life by studying together with other students. Any international student who is currently enrolled in the university for more than one semester and feels that their university life and studies are challenging can apply for this program.

◉ Program Overview

- Program Name: SMF(Studying & Mentoring with Friends) Program

- Program Objective: SMFers (mentors) and SMFees (mentees) are matched one-to-one (or one-to-two) to share academic information and provide mentoring for the purpose of completing one semester successfully.

- Program Description: A mentoring program where international students who need academic assistance or face difficulties in their studies interact and study together with other students at Sogang University throughout one semester.

◉ Activity Period

- February 1st, 2024 ~ July 12th, 2024, approximately 5 months
 (From shortly before the course registration period until shortly after the end of the semester grade submission deadline )

- SMF activities are conducted based on the mutually agreed schedule between SMFers and SMFees.

◉ SMFee (Mentee) Eligibility

- Any international undergraduate student at Sogang University who is in their second semester or later in the spring semester of 2024.

- International students who particularly need academic assistance or require a student mentor for advice.

- If there are few SMFer (mentor) applicants, some SMFee applicants may not be matched.

◉ SMFee (Mentee) Activity Recognition Criteria

- The total activity time must be at least 20 hours per semester for participation to be recognized.

- Mandatory participation in SMFee face-to-face OT in early March (schedule will be finalized in consideration of SMFee's timetable)

- Must be in constant contact with a matched SMFer student and actively participate in the program

- Must submit the short report attached every month

- At the end of the program, you must write and submit a 1/2 A4 essay about your feelings of the program.

- A student gathering for participants is scheduled for June 24, at 15:30.

- Mandatory participation in the 'Participating Student Survey' scheduled to be held in July

◉ SMFee (Mentee) activity benefits

- 100,000 KRW per semester will be provided when activity standards are met

◉ SMFer (Mentor) Eligibility

- Any undergraduate student at Sogang University who is in their second semester or later in the spring semester of 2023, regardless of nationality.

- Students who have the strong willingness to actively interact with international students and provide assistance, as well as being diligent and responsible.

- This program is not available for students who are currently on a leave of absence.

- You can apply for this program in conjunction with other activities within the university.

- Please note that if you drop out of the program without valid reasons, you may face disadvantages such as restrictions on participating in programs organized by the Education Center for International Students in the future, so please apply carefully.

◉ SMFer (Mentor) Activities

* SMFer provides SMFee with 'Academic Help' to help finish the semester successfully.

- (Important) Provide guidelines to overcome difficulties related to liberal arts and major classes

- About academic guidelines: help with a course registration plan, help with understanding how to check graduation requirements, guidance on how to calculate graduation credits, etc.

- About University life: providing guidance on attendance, tardiness, and academic regulations such as FA, introducing smartphone applications related to university life, sharing tips on utilizing university-related websites (university homepage, SAINT, course information page, etc.), and sharing Korean university life culture, etc.

- About taking classes: providing guidance on university life know-how such as tips for course registration, help to understand what should do and how should do about SMFee’s assignment etc.

* The above assistance guidance is provided according to the individual needs of the matched SMFee (Mentee).

◉ SMFer (Mentor) activity Benefits:

- 300,000 KRW per semester will be provided when activity standards are met

◉ SMFer (Mentor) Activity Recognition Criteria

1) Activity time

- The total activity time must be at least 20 hours per semester for participation to be recognized.

- Face-to-face meetings must last at least 14 hours out of 20 hours to be recognized as an activity

  (* Considering the examination period and the period of stay abroad for international students, up to 6 hours of non-face-to-face activities are allowed)

- In March, April, May, and June, at least 3 activities per month are required.

2) Report Submission Criteria

* Submit a report of your activity each month. Supporting photos are required.

- Submission date of the report: within ten days after SMFer/SMFee (Mentee) are matched

- 1st report submission date: March 30th (Sat)

- 2nd report submission date: April 30th (Tue)

- 3rd report submission date: May 30th (Thu)

- 4th report submission date: July 12th, (Fri)

3) Other criteria

- Non-face-to-face OT is to sent through the attachment of the email in February, be sure to be familiar with the contents

- Mandatory participation in SMFer face-to-face OT in early March (schedule will be finalized in consideration of SMFer's timetable)

- Participation of a student gathering for participants which is scheduled for June 24, at 15:30

- Mandatory participation in the 'Participating Student Survey' scheduled to be held in July

◉ SMFer & SMFee Activity

- In early April, all SMF participants are supposed to participate in the "SMF Meeting": 1 hour of face-to-face activity per person is recognized

- A student gathering for participants is scheduled for June 24, at 15:30 - 1 hour of face-to-face activity per person is recognized

西江大学国际学生教育中心为了帮助在学业上感到困难和需要帮助的国际学生能拥有更好的学校生活, 所以准备了这个可以与其他同学一起学习和熟悉学校生活的机会。只要是觉得学校生活和学业上有困难的国际学生,都可以申请这个项目。

◉ 项目概要

- 名称: 国际学生教育中心 SMF( Studying & Mentoring with Friends )项目

- 目的: 为了能拥有一个更完满的学期, SMFer（Mentor）和SMFee（Mentee） 之间以 1:1（或1:2） 方式搭配， 共享学业相关信息及提供指导 。

- 说明: 学习上需要帮助或感到困难的国际学生和西江大学内其他同学一起度过一个学期，提供与学业相关的指导和建议

-  特别是需要学业帮助和学业建议的国际学生。

-  SMFer,Mentor应聘者少的话,可能不会被录取。

◉ SMFee ( Mentee ) 活动认证标准

- 必须和SMFer, Mentor一起活动20小时以上

- 3月初, 必须参加SMFee面对面OT ( 考虑SMFee时间表再确定日程 )

- 要与匹配的SMFer学生保持联系，积极参与项目。

- 每个月需要提交简单的报告书（첨부파일 참고)

- 活动结束后需填写并提交A4纸1/2分量的感想文

- 参加 6月24日下午3点30分（预定）的 "参与学生座谈会"

- 必须参与 7月 ( 预定 ) 进行的"参与学生问卷调查"

◉ SMFee ( Mentee ) 獎勵

- 满足活动认证标准时，每学期有10万韩元的活动费

◉ SMFer ( Mentor ) 申请资格

- 以2024学年度第一学期为基准，2个学期以上在学中的西江大学本科所有在校学生 ( 不分国籍 )

- 诚实负责, 愿意与国际学生积极交流, 提供帮助的学生

- 以在学生为对象实施的活动, 休学生不能申请

- 本项目可同时申请校内其他活动并同时进行

- 如果在项目进行过程中没有合理的理由中途退出, 以后可能会有限制参与国际学生教育中心主办的项目等不利影响, 请慎重考虑。

◉ SMFer ( Mentor ) 的作用

* 为SMFee顺利完成一个学期提供"学业帮助"

- （重要）提供教养课程及专业课程中相关困难的针对性指导

- 学业计划相关: 帮助制定听课申请计划，帮助熟知毕业条件确认方法，介绍毕业学分计算方法等

- 学校生活相关: 介绍出缺勤、迟到、FA等制度，介绍学校生活相关智能手机应用程序，共享学校生活相关网站（学校网站、SAINT、开设科目信息页面等）使用方法，分享韩国大学生活文化等

-  课业相关: 介绍听课申请小贴士等学校生活技巧， 帮助SMFee于课业面对的困难和问题等

-  韩国语学习相关: 韩国语学习遇到困难时提供相关帮助

* 上述帮助需根据匹配的SMFee,Mentee的个人需要提供。

◉ SMFer ( Mentor ) 獎勵

- 满足活动认证标准时，每学期有30万韩元的活动费

◉ SMFer ( Mentor ) 活动认证标准

1) 以小时为准

-  每学期活动20小时以上才能认证活动

- 20小时中, 其中14小时以上必须面对面进行活动才能认证活动

  （* 考虑考试时间及国际学生海外滞留时间，最多可进行6小时非面对面活动）

- 3月、4月、5月、6月每月必须分别进行3次以上的活动。

2) 报告书提交标准

* 需为每个月的活动提交证明报告书, 必须附上证明照片。

- 报告书提交日期: SMFer ( Mentor ) /SMFee ( Mentee ) 进行活动后10天内

- 第1次报告提交日期: 3月30日 ( 星期六 )

- 第2次报告书提交日期: 4月30日 ( 星期二 )

- 第3次报告书提交日期: 5月30日 ( 星期四 )

- 第4次报告书提交日期: 7月12日 ( 星期五 )

3) 其他标准

- 2月份, 通过邮件发送非面对面OT资料， 必须熟知相应内容

- 3月初, 必须参与SMFer面对面OT（考虑SMFee时间表再确定日程）

- 参与6月24日下午3点30分（预定）的"参与学生座谈会"

- 必须参与7月 ( 预定 ) 进行的"参与学生问卷调查"
