CHUNG Jee Eun

Nationality: Korean

Major: International Relations

After graduating from Sogang GSIS, I started to work as a development practitioner providing policy advisory, institutional capacity building and programmatic support to address development challenges. This work allowed me to serve vulnerable populations in different capacities through governments and UN agencies such as UNDP, UN Women, UNESCO and UN Economic Commission for Africa and in various locations including HQs in Paris and New York and regional and field offices based in Johannesburg, Kigali, and Accra. Each experience offered me both professional and personal growth much like the learning experience from International Relations due to its interdisciplinary nature that laid the foundation for the competence that is required for development work - an ability to formulate solutions to complex problems in a highly sensitive and challenging environment.
