[Major Introduction]
The Korean Language Education major is an interdisciplinary academic field that explores effective teaching and learning methods to enhance Korean language communication skills for those whose first language is not Korean.
This program aims to cultivate highly proficient Korean language users by selecting a small number of outstanding international students. In order for students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds to study Korea, they must be able to interpret a wide range of historical sources and reference materials related to Korea, which requires an advanced level of Korean proficiency.
The curriculum includes the Level 2 Korean Language Teacher Certification program as a foundation, along with specialized tracks such as the Korean Media Translation and Interpretation program, the Korean Cultural Content Strategy program, and the Korean Area Studies program.
