[Special Lecture Announcement] Hosted by the BK21 Linguistics-TESOL Education Team

Title: Beyond Boundaries: Data-Centric AI for the Future of Language Research

This seminar examines how data-centric perspectives are reshaping the study and practice of language in an era when advanced AI systems play an increasingly influential role across linguistic research and language education. As AI becomes more deeply involved in how we study, teach, and work with language, new questions arise about how these technologies should be designed, guided, and interpreted within data-driven frameworks. Building on this shift, the session introduces emerging directions?including synthetic data generation, domain-specialized models, and human?AI collaborative frameworks?that open new possibilities for analysis, feedback, and co-creative writing. Ultimately, the seminar aims to provide a forward-looking perspective on how data-centric AI and human?AI collaboration can together expand the future of language research and creative engagement.
