| About Hyeonseok Cho | I studied Cinema and Aesthetics at Paris 1 University. During my studies, I faced the Paris attacks, the European refugee crisis, and issues of race and class firsthand. I was naturally interested in how cinema and media deal with these issues and how they influence each other. After graduation, I worked in video design and production for social enterprises and fashion companies. However, during that time, social prejudices, barriers, and xenophobia in the media were reinforced and reproduced day by day. Therefore, my desire to explore the relationship between film, documentary, and digital media and diaspora, refugees, and minorities was reawakened. Therefore, I am currently studying for a Master's degree in Critical Global Studies at Sogang University.

| About Seungho Lee | Seungho Lee received his B.A. in International Relations from Keimyung University. In Poland, where he went as an exchange student, he saw the contrast between the efforts of European society to remember the Holocaust and hate crimes against Asians right after the outbreak of COVID-19. Through this, he began to see that selected memory which remembers only damage, contributes repetition of atrocity. Working as a researcher at an NGO, which put efforts into resolving the “Comfort Women” issue, he engaged in various projects of research, exhibitions, etc. Based on his experience, he sees selected memory as the critical factor in the recurrence and rationalization of war crimes along with dehumanization.

| About Junghee Yang | I completed M.A. in the Department of Chinese Culture this year. I studied the complex politics surrounding the names which shape sociopolitical realities of Chinese migrants in Korea, focusing on the binary categorization of Old and New Hwagyo. The conclusion I reached through my M.A. thesis has motivated me to pursue further investigation in Generation Studies, particularly focusing on the declining interest and attachment to national or ethnic identities among young generations as a global phenomenon influenced by the spread of transnationalism and cosmopolitanism.
